🐟5 Minute Salmon Dip 🐟
.
It’s been a few weeks since my last post, mostly because moving and travelling for the holidays takes a lot of time (who woulda thought πŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ). I had the pleasure of trying a store bought salmon dip I really liked, and wanted to make myself with my own flair.
.
This recipe uses cooked canned salmon, which I find is generally more accessible and easier than cooking salmon yourself. That being said, feel free to replace the canned salmon with smoked salmon, or salmon you cook yourself.
.
RECIPE (~1.5 cups o’ dip)
– Drain and rinse one 6oz can of salmon, to remove that tinny taste
– Add to a bowl with 8oz room temp cream cheese and 1/4 cup sour cream
– Add in 2 tsp liquid from a jar of capers and 2 tsp lemon juice
– Add in 2 tsp hot sauce of choice (I used cholulahotsauce chipotle
– Mash together until salmon has been broken up and mixture is well incorporated. If you want it extra smooth like I did, run the mixture through a food processor
– Sprinkle on 1/4 tsp dill weed and serve with some newyorksnacks Everything Bagel Crisps
